This is an adjustable Schmeing Thread Tension Mechanism. It is from a closed Cloth Manufacturing Company from our area. We have several of these units. They were taken from professional equipment and are in very good condition. Made at 428 Borken-Weseke, Germany. No model number on the unit. Mounts on a 7/16 inch rod so it can be placed almost anywhere in the line of flow of the thread. Adjustments show from 1 to 9. However, you can continue to tighten it back around to 1, 2, 3 and more for the thread to be tighter if you need. In looking at this, I am amazed at the engineering that has went in to it. Its so simple and easy to adjust. I would think it would do a perfect job for you. This is a small item, inexpensive and non returnable.
