THOUGH THIS ITEM IS WITHOUT A BOX, IT IS IN EXCELLENT BRAND NEW CONDITION. THE PLASTIC PROTECTIVE CAPS ARE ON BOTH IN AND OUT SIDES OF VALVE. THE COVER FOR THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS HAS A COUPLE CHIPS ON THE TOP BACK SIDE FROM STORAGE WITH OTHER VALVES. OTHER THAN A COUPLE PAINT CHIPS ON THE COVER, THIS VALVE IS PERFECT!! SINCE THIS VALVE IS NEW AND NEVER USED, I DID NOT TEST IT. I INSPECTED THE ENTIRE VALVE OPENED IT ALL THE WAY AND CLOSED IT. THE INDICATOR SHOWED THAT IT WAS OPEN OR CLOSED.
