Martek Mark 15 Water Quality Analyzer
Manufactured by Martek Instruments, Inc.
This sale is for 1 used item in excellent condition-looks like it has never actually been used. It was likely a backup unit.
The Mark 15 Water Quality Analyzer is a portable system for monitoring temperature, conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen and depending on sensor configuration, ORP & depth. The system consists of a monitor operating off of a 12 volt rechargeable battery. Manufacturing of this system was stopped in the early 1990s.
The pH electrode is a gel-filled configuration that was designed to be replaced every couple of years. Unfortunately, it had to be done at the factory as the electrode screwed into a sensor block with the pins being inserted into a printed circuit board. Then the whole sensor assembly was pressure-tested to ensure water-tight integrity. The dissolved oxygen sensor and stirrer should still work if you have any Teflon membranes and electrolyte left (potassium iodide 2:1 ratio; i.e. 2 parts deionized water to 1 part potassium iodide). We still offer the membranes and electrolyte. The probe is a galvanic-style sensor and fairly easy to maintain. The temperature and conductivity sensors should last forever.
