My other motor controller kits are very popular, however some people need more torque than the small motor with the other kit can provide. This is a brand new Pacific Scientific high torque one and one half horsepower variable speed motor for your lathe, knife grinder, belt sander, bandsaw, or whatnot. I tried to stop the pulley while wearing leather gloves, and almost burned a hole through them. This setup includes the motor, control electronics, controller box, cords, and even a pulley. No wiring required, simply mount the motor, and plug the controller into any 115v outlet. Single 1/2" v-belt pully included, 2" diameter. Reversing switch on control box. (DON'T change directions with motor running!) Motor mounts with square mounting base (see picture). For scale, items are sitting on a 12" ceramic tile.. Speed range is about about 50rpm to about 3000rpm. Speed is controlled by a dail on the control box. These are not designed for continuous, full power output.
