Voice Echo IC Design Kit with PCBs (#1970) This is the Voice Echo IC Design Kit #1. This kit is centered around the Holtek HT8970 Voice Echo DIP-16 IC. kit. The HT8970 is an echo/surround effect IC processor. It is designed for various audio systems including karaoke, television, sound equipments, etc. The chip consists of a built-in audio pre-amplifier, VCO or Voltage Control OSC, 20Kb SRAM, A/D and D/A converters as well as delay time control logic. Its built-in 20Kb SRAM can generate delay time effects and can control the delay time value through the external VCO resistor. The VCO circuit reduces external components and make it easy to adjust the delay time. The data sheet and a working schematic can be found at . It includes two different schematics for operating in the Echo or Surround modes. This kit includes the components found in the data sheet which includes an Op Amp, an Electret Microphone, Resistors, Capacitors, Trimpots, and more to develop numerous audio circuits. You get extra components so you can experiment with the circuit. To help with your development projects you also get IC sockets, a 9-volt Battery Clip, a miniature speaker, and 2 double-sided, 162 plated-thru hole PCBs.
