Instructions to build a biodiesel / alcohol fuel still

Instructions to build a biodiesel / alcohol fuel still
to the Neon Nurse's MATH-FREE zone!
You may remember there was a push, after the gas crisis in the late 70s, to start finding ways to efficiently and cheaply make our own fuel from farm products. If only we had stuck with that idea, eh?
This would be an interesting project for someone handy, or maybe a vo-ag or shop class or FFA group. It gives what look to me like fairly clear and simple directions for building a simple still. The writing style is fun, too. "It is very easy, if you do not follow the safety warnings, to make a still which will blow up in your face. Alcohol as a liquid is not dangerous (unless taken internally) but ALCOHOL IN A VAPOR WILL EXPLODE." So you can't say he doesn't give you clear instructions and fair warning....
On the title page it notes that there is a patent pending on one of the parts, or more likely the writer's specific design of same. Nevertheless, they grant permission to build one still from these plans for individual use. So far as I know, the college this came from never did so, which ought to mean it is okay for you to do it now. The publisher is listed as Tallgrass Research Center of Formoso, Kansas, and there is an address to contact them, if you want to give that a try.
This book is basically a photo-copied, typewritten report in a binder. It has 11 pages of text and 11 more pages of diagrams and notes. It was part of a small community college library and has moderate general wear but is clean and in good reading/using condition.
