Once connected, images may be transferred directly to the DVSe for extended storage, and recordings may be retrieved through the search functions on the DVMRe or DSR. The disk array within the 19-inch-wide, 3U-high rack-mountable chassis can provide from two to eight IDE hard drives (HDDs), each of which can store up to 592.5 days of recordings. When used with time-lapse recordings set for long record rates, the DVSe can store anywhere from 1-1/2 to more than 13 years of recorded images. As hard disk drives continue to get larger, the recording capacity will increase. Upgrading storage capacity is easy just turn the DVSe off and plug in more HDDs. The DVSe self-configures every time it powers up, and LCD and LED lights indicate how many hard drives are installed and operating, along with the total disk storage capacity (Ge kalatel dvse-320 digital video storage dvr was posted and is owned by: Gwen David) |
