The QSK-1 full break-in amplifier module is a device designed to allow full break-in operation with a conventional grounded grid linear amplifier. The QSK-1 will function with virtually any type of one kilowatt, grounded grid, CW-SSB amplifier. The QSK-1 may be located at any conveinent location between the transceiver and the linear amplifier. All it requires for operation is a 12 Vdc line plugged into the jack marked 12 V. Shielded cables (RCA type) connect to the amplifier relay keying jack (on your linear amplifier) and the exciter (transceiver) amplifier keying jack (on your transceiver). A major improvement in CW wave form is accomplished using the QSK-1 versus the use of a vacuum antenna change over relay following the keying pulses in the amplifier. I used this with a Ten Tec 544 and an Ameritron GLA-1000B amplifier with great success! It worked like a charm and I got good keying reports from the boys on the low end of 40M. It is very fast (QSK) and I could hear a received dit between my sending characters. One owner -no scratches or wear. I am ill and selling all my gear. I hope you can use this!
