Newest Addition To Our Line Of Specially Formulated Color Stable Epoxy Resin THE MOST COLOR STABLE EPOXY RESIN SYSTEM WHILE MAINTAING ITS OUTSTANDING COLOR STABILITY Outstanding Mechanical Performance While Maintaing Excellent Clarity * Brush, Roller Coat, Pour Applied * 100% Reactive No Excessive Plasticizer Fillers * No Silicone-based Wetting Agents * Excellent Gloss and Color Retention, Non-Blushing * Excellent For Fiberglass, Carbon Fiber And Other Composite Fabrics * Excellent Water/Salt Water Resistant for Marine/Aero Applications * Higher Chemical and Solvent Resistance * Higher Heat Resistance and Hardness * Low Shrinkage For Casting Application * Machineable With No Cracking Or Chattering * NASA Low Out Gassing Specifications When choosing high performance resins, it is important that the formulation is 100% reactive, meaning that it contains very little or no plasticizers such as benzyl alcohol, nonyl phenol and other phthalate based additives. Differential Working Time Comparison On a 150 gram mass mixture, MAX CLR FAST A/B exhibits similar working time of up to 20 minutes and quickly gelled after 25 minutes. The shorter working time of the MAX CLR FAST A/B allows faster processing without sacrificing color stability and excessive brittleness. Please Note that the higher peak exotherm may exclude MAX CLR FAST A/B to be used in large casting applications. Included with every kit is a copy of MSDS, DATA SHEET and our Comprehensive "Surface Preparation and Applications Bulletin" which contains a wealth of information high performance bonding technology MAX CLR FAST is a versatile, tough and resilient epoxy resin that can be used for many other applications such as: * Marine and Aircraft Composite Fabrication * Hobby and Crafts Adhesive/Coating * Protective and Decorative Coatings * Electronic Potting, Insulating, Encapsulating * Clear Penetrating Gel Coat Repair For Sealing Cracks 800 – 1,200 cPs @ 25ºC Mixed 50 Parts “B†to 100 Parts “A†By Weight 30 Minutes @ 25ºC (150 gram mass) 80 ± 5 Shore D, 2H Pencil Hardness Usage And Applications Instructions Weigh out two parts “Part A†to one part “Part B†by weight or by volume in to a clean container. Mix by hand with a spatula or a low speed mixer. Mix gently and scrape the sides and bottom of the container. To insure complete mixing, transfer the mixed resin into another clean container and mix for another 30 seconds. To use Max CLR FAST as a laminating or impregnating resin for fiberglass or other composite fabrics: A good rule of thumb for preparing high performance laminate is a balance fabric to resin ratio. A good ratio for fiberglass fabric is 33% resin weight to 67% fiberglass fabric by weight. Please review our Vacuum Bagging Bulletin for suggested vacuum bagging lay-up profile. This profile can also be used in press platen technique. 1. Precut or measure out the correct shape, length or pattern and the number of layers of fabric needed to achieve the desired thickness. 2. Apply a coat of the mixed resin unto the surface and gently lay the fabric into position. 3. Use a flexible flat blade and evenly distribute the resin throughout the applied fabric. 4. Apply another thin coat of resin and then fabric in the same technique until the desired thickness is achieved. 5. Impregnate the fiberglass with mixed MAX CLR to the optimum resin content and use platen press pressure or vacuum bag technique to consolidate the layers together and apply compression force. This will also remove any air pockets in the laminate. We are direct manufacturer and formulators of high performance polymers for the industry for over 15 years. We have hundreds of large corporations that use our polymers in thousands of applications. These are not extras, surplus, re-packs or old inventory. We purchase and mix our raw materials in large volumes and on demand, so we can offer our products at lower prices. If you have any questions or special applications, our staff polymer chemist will be more than happy to answer your questions.
