Description: Mirage 144-148 Mhz 30W 2M Amplifier This little workhorse of an amp served flawless for 20 years, from 1986 to 2006 as a base amplifier for a junkyard office trailer. It was loaded into a 2-bay dipole array and driven by a 4 watt HT90 portable operating at 151.625 Mhz. It produced a tick over 25 watts and gave the yard total coverage. The amp draws approx. 5A @ 13.8V for a 25-30 watt output. The 10db pre-amp works great and gave the HT90 base-like performance. This amp is a rugged and stable single-ended design with (1) MRF240A output device in common-emitter mode. Included is the original owners manual w/ schematic. Lid/bottom was removed for photo of inards to show it is in excellent shape and never modified or altered. Lid/bottom has 4pc 1/2" square rubber feet for desktop placement on or next to power supply, (not included). (Mirage B23A 144-148MHZ 30W amplifier was posted and is owned by: Katharine Wall) |
