Starrett No. 278 V-Blocks are precision ground to extreme accuracy. The V's are central, parallel, and square with the ends and sides. The blocks are made of steel, hardened and ground and numbered in series so that the V's in each set are always in alignment. One block has a 1/4-20 tapped hole through the side so that it may be attached to an angle iron. The angle iron holding the block can then be attached to a lathe faceplate or held by a magnetic chuck. Each block is 1 1/4" (32 mm) square and 1 5/8" (40 mm) long (Matched pair of starrett v blocks , excellent was posted and is owned by: Mary Landry) |
