Although we sell BOTH the GQF Brooder and The Brower Brooder, the Brower brooder is our own brooder of choice as it is heavier, more durable and utilizes an electronic thermostat as opposed to GQF's wafer type thermostst. * Top opening is 27" x 42". The entire top is removable in two separate sections. * Rear opening is 14" x 4" ( for viewing ) * Height of removable droppings pan to floor is 3" providing protection from birds reaching through and "playing" with feces * PVC-coated wire mesh floor 1/2" x1/2" mesh. * Interior eating area of feed trough is 1" x 1" x 27". Trough fills from the outside - 4" x 27" opening. Feeder holds about 7 lbs of pelleted feed and may be easily be removed for cleaning * 250 Watt, thermostatically controlled heating element w/ pilot bulbs * Capacity is 100 day old chicks, 50 four week old chicks or 100 quail chicks to the fourth week. * Stackable to 4 high. Brood more chicks in less floor space! Overall weight: approx: 70 pounds *Width and height are without feeder and drinker. Drinker adds approx. 5 1/2" of width and 2 184" of height.
