Texalium is an innovative fabric developed by Hexcel with a proprietary finish and a thin coating of aluminum on the surface of the fabric. It is a very unique and new hybrid utilizing a new fabric called Hexcel Texalium. It is a high-performance fiberglass twill weave coated with 99.99% pure aluminum that is 200 Angstroms thick, (1 billionth of a meter).
It has a very reflective silver color on one side and a yellow gold color on the other.
The silver color is from the aluminum coating on the fiberglass.
Yellow color on one side and silver color on the opposite side
It is not as stiff as carbon but is stronger than E-Glass. This is the most common fiberglass used in the composite industry for cosmetic applications. It is a very good material to work with and has great structural integrity for its price. E-Glass is not as stiff or strong as Carbon Texalium but works well if you are on a budget impregnated fabric produces a highly reflective surface, which can be used to achieve a high tech appearance in composites at a much lower cost.

Proportioning the correct amount is important to insure the cured properties performance of the resin system.
The container in which the epoxy and curing agent is mixed in, must withstand the tenacity of the chemical and must be free of contamination.
The plastic mixing tubs are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and it comes with air tight lids which makes it an excellent temporary storage container.
Our MAX EPOXY MIXING KIT comes with 5 pairs of powder free Latex Gloves to protect the user from direct contact with the epoxy resin system.

MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE AND ANALYSISWhen designing a composite part that will involve the use of any type of polymer resin, there are many aspects that must be taken into consideration to insure its efficacy during use. Design, material selection, fabricating process and other implementation parameters must be carefully considered to insure favorable results. What is impact testing?Impact testing is one of the most revealing test methods that demonstrate a material's ability to resist and withstand a high-rate of pressure loading. Its behavior during and after the impact can define its maximum mechanical property and conditional limits upon its destruction. To answer this question, one must determine the load or type of stress that the resin must endure during the life of the fabricated part.Through analysis of its resistance and and conclusively its ultimate mechanical performance pass the point of destruction, one can determine and establish parameters and designs that will involve the use of an epoxy resin as an, adhesive, coating or ultimately an integral part of the synergy of a composite. Why is Impact Testing Important? The impact resistance of an object provides the ultimate measure of its resistance to its definitive destruction.Governed by the many laws and dynamics of physics, a skilled chemist or materials engineer can determine the design equilibrium and ultimate performance by careful analysis of the material s disassociation and the manner of its destruction. With this knowledge, other aspects of mechanical performance can be accurately derived and through skilful engineering one can determine:The impact energies the part can be expected to see in its lifetime,The type of impact that will deliver that energy, and then select a material that will resist such assaults over the projected life span.
