This is brand new. These normally sell online and from local wholesale distributers for around $170.00. The valve is externally equalized. External equalization is better than internal because it compensates for pressure changes accross the evaporater and helps eliminate "hunting". This valve is suited designed for small refrigeration systems, cases, coolers, freezers, air conditioning , and heat pumps units up to 2 Ton. This TXV comes in the original box. I only removed it for the pictures The connections are all SAE flare. Inlet side has a removable 100 Mesh Strainer.
