Flir thermal imaging infrared camera energy audit-fire

Flir thermal imaging infrared camera energy audit-fire
Besides firefighting, this imager is ideal for energy audit inspections. Unit has a video out port.
This imager is not exportable and cannot leave the country whatsoever. Must be used by US end user ONLY!
Iintroducing the first thermal imaging camera specifically designed to meet the exacting needs of the firefighter.
With this innovation firefighters can clearly see through the smoke to the structures and casualties of a fire and are able to detect the seat and spread of the fire even when it is hidden inside walls or cavities.
This first production firefighting camera (P4228) was developed for Naval firefighters and proved to be a great success with many units still in use. This was superseded by the P4428 or NFTI (Naval Firefighters Thermal Imager) and in the mid 1990s, Argus®1 for the civil firefighting market. Argus®1 represented the ultimate in rugged, affordable and practical thermal imaging systems.
Primarily for firefighting, Argus®2 can be used for any application that requires the detection of overheating components. Its rugged waterproof construction together with its ability to detect not only casualties, but also the seat of fires and other sources of heat, makes the Argus®2 Thermal Imaging Camera an essential tool for applications including:
* Detecting hidden fires in cavity walls, floor and ceiling voids
* Training and assessment of firefighting techniques
* Navigation and evacuation through smoke filled premises
* Detecting the source of potential fires, for example overheating in cables and junction boxes, motors, gearboxes, distribution panels and bus bars
* Assessing containers containing hazardous or flammable materials
* Thermal mapping of equipment and systems.
1. Arrival at scene, initial assessment
2. Building entry - normal vision
3. Building entry - thermal image
also can be used fo renergy audit inspections as seen below
This energy audit image was taken inside a residential structure and shows the infiltration of heat into the structure. The yellow and red area to the left of the shutters indicates an area of increased infrared energy penetrating the building envelope. There is a good chance that this pattern indicates an area of damaged or missing insulation.
