Ideal Short-Stop Latch for Custom Stripmaster Wire Strippers L5269 For general purpose stripping of plastic, fiberglass, teflon, and other hard-to-strip insulations. Exclusive, die-type blade design incorporates a counter-bored hole sized to the insulation and an inner cutting hold sized to the conductor. The counterbore hole acts as a collet, which compresses the insulation slightly to center the conductor, and prevents the blade-cutting surface from contacting the surface of the conductor. One squeeze operation-just insert wires between blades, squeeze handle, and release. Features sturdy, die-cast body and frame, and comfortable cushioned handgrips. The optional short-stop latch protects wire strands by limiting stripping stroke to 5/32& to retain the slug. It can be easily disengaged to allow full 7/8& stroke. The optional transparent wire stop provides uniform stripping length up to 1-1/8" max.
