In good working order and with calibration checked and as far as I can tell within calibration. It will read Voltage (AC/DC) Current and Resistance. I have checked the voltmeter with a 5V electronic source accurate to within one millivolt and it is within 1 millivolt – see picture. I believe that even this is actually the error of the source and not of the meter. However this test does not reveal the incredible accuracy of this meter. This instrument will read down to one millionth of a volt!- see pic after zeroing the meter. My standard resistors against which I have checked this instrument are to within 0.01%. This level of accuracy is more than adequate for my use and clearly, this multimeter is much more accurate than anything I have to check it with. The procedure to perform a calibration is contained within the CD - there are no mechanical adjustments – it is all by software and can be carried out whenever an accurate voltage source is to hand. This is a very accurate instrument which is useful for checking the accuracy of other multi-meters. It also has a GPIB facility whereby it can be automatically controlled via a PC - details within the user manual. It is supplied with an IEC mains lead and the specification and user manual on a CD. The test leads are not supplied but it uses standard 4mm banana plugs and either front or rear sockets can be used – full instructions on usage contained within the CD.. There is a faint number which has been written on the top cover – otherwise a fairly clean item. This item offers a laboratory quality 6 digit instrument of outstanding value against the more expensive multi-meters currently available which often struggle to provide accuracy to 3 digits.
