The AR2500 is a wide range frequency radio scanner for the serious radio enthusiast. Continuous coverage is from 0.5 MHz - 1500 MHz! This receiver features 62 user configurable scan banks capable of storing up to 1,984 frequencies. There are also 16 user programmable search banks. All frequency information is stored on an internal EEPROM memory chip. Front panel features a complete keypad for entering frequencies as well as selectable 5K, 12.5K or 25K search increments. Keypad can be locked to avoid accidental key presses. LCD display has user controlled back light ON/OFF for those low light conditions. There is even a multi-colored signal strength meter. You can LINK / UNLINK frequency channels, SEL FREQ and SEL BANK for selecting frequencies or banks while scanning. Other functions include: PRIORITY, DELAY, SCAN, SEARCH, user selectable NFM/WFM/AM, BFO fine tuning for single-side band frequencies. Light diodes on front panel indicate SSB on/off and KEY LOCK. Knobs on front panel control VOLUME, SQUELCH, COARSE and FINE TUNING for SSB, and FREQUENCY TUNING. Back panel features DX/Local switch, ANT input, 12V DC power input, external speaker input, RS232 serial data port. Accessories included: telescopic antenna, stubbie antenna (for 800MHz), 12V car kit with wiring and all necessary hardware, wire stand, power pack for home use, instruction manual. Specifications: 62 scan banks (1,984 possible stored frequencies), 16 search banks, AM / FM / WFM selectable. Power: 12 VDC. Frequency Range: Shortwave (1 - 30 MHz), Low Band (30 - 54 MHz), TV audio & FM (54 - 108 MHz), Aircraft (108 - 136 MHz), High Band (136 - 174 MHz), TV audio (174 - 220 MHz), UHF (220 - 512 MHz), Military Air (225 - 406 MHz), UHF TV (470 - 806 MHz), NFM (806 - 1500 MHz). Additional Comments: This radio is in LIKE NEW condition. Rarely used (less than 20 hours of actual use). There are no scratches, nicks, cracks or faded printing. It looks as new as the day it was manufactured. Display window is in perfect condition (no scratches or abrasions). Instruction manual is also in "LIKE NEW" condition.
