Removable wing nut simplifies disassembly for cleaning and serves as an adjustment for tightening or approximating the blades. Also the wing nut is a reference point that insures the proper use of the instrument– Always placed down and away from the body of the animal or as the cowboys remember it “nut to nutâ€.
