MT-4 live center, bearings were bad, I've put a new front bearing on, it needs a new tapered roller bearing in back - the front bearing is a 6203, the rear is Timken A6067, outer race A6157 There is a screw in the back of the taper that you remove to grease this center - the reason the bearings failed is that the previous owner didn't grease them - the rear bearing is a good study of what happens when you load a bearing up without grease - (Mt-4 live center, older, usa made i think, was posted and is owned by: Clinton Maddox) |
