Made of 1/2" steel with 1/4" thick angles, 24" wide. When it's open and the angles are in a flat position the opening is 16" wide. The lifting ring has a 6" opening. This is an excellent lifting rig if you have something flat that needs to be lifted that can not be damaged by the two side lips on the lifting rig.
