2001 DuraTech HD 8 Tub Grinder unit. We put it in our shop and fixed the following: * fixed a bad bearing on the discharge conveyor * fixed hydraulic leak on discharge conveyor motor * replaced remote control unit for tub reverser * replaced misc. hoses and lines * The Serial # is 24-3-JJ-0394 * Hour meter shows about 540hrs. (looks to be close) * Has Cummins motor (130 HP I think, you will have to verify) * Starts and runs good, we ground some brush and chips we had laying around. * For Questions Call (***)-675-4848 #10 and ask for Mike. The underconveyor looks like it needs new wipers installed on the bottom of the discharge hopper. This should not be to difficult to do, it keeps the material from building up under the machine. The discharge belt is a little rough and has some nails stuck in it, seems to work fine and I don't see it as a problem. The opening on the tub is 5'10" and the mill head is about 2' long. I do not recommend trying to grind large stumps with this unit. There are 3 Screens that come with the machine. The screen in the machine now has 2 3/4" holes - someone has modified these to have approximately 4" openings in spots. The two spares are 8 X 8 squares with some 5 x 8 variation on the ends where an 8" square opening would not fit, and the last one has 2" round openings. I do not have any idea how much this will grind per hour, I am sure it depends on the screen sizes and the type of material. This is not a unit to grind large stumps with. It would be best to grind limbs, yard waste, pallets, construction scraps. It has a pintle hitch, I think you could pull it with a 1 ton or larger truck. Also there is some surface rust on the wheels and fenders, you can see some of it in the pictures. We wire wheeled and primered the fuel tanks. I can assist with loading this unit.
