This Brand New Uniden BCI25D Digital Card allows 2 Uniden scanner models, the BC 785XLT, and the BC250D, to receive APCO 25 digital signals, where they would not be able to do so without this card. In the case of the hand-held scanner (BC 250D), it slides into a slot under the battery and clicks into place. In the case of the BC 785XLT, it slides into a slot on the right rear of the radio, covered by a door which can come off. In both situations, when you turn the radios on after inserting the BCI25D card, a message appears a few seconds after powering up that says: "APCO 25 Card Installed". The radio will then automatically detect and decode APCO 25 digital signals, which are now used by many large cities and counties throughout the U.S. This BCI25D card is brand new from the factory (I purchased the last few they had left, and there are no more being made or at the Uniden warehouse) and carries a full 1 year warranty.
