White silkie chicken hatching eggs ~fluffy & purebred~
All of my flock has been tested by the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab and is certified to be Pullorum and Typhoid negative and is registered with the Texas Animal Health Commission.
A bonus will be added to all of my hatching egg listings for the month of March...... so keep an eye out!!!
How you know the breed of hatching egg will be purely that particular breed: I don't let any of my purebreds that I raise, hatch and list as purebreds free range (see ****NOTE****). They have NEVER been allowed to mix. PUREBRED MEANS "PURE"BREED IN MY LISTINGS. So, there is no chance you will hatch a mixed up chick! ****NOTE****: If the rooster in a flock dies or is removed, the hens continue to produce fertile eggs for up to four weeks, depending on bird species. The period of time that fertile eggs are produced without additional matings can extend to several weeks. If a rooster is removed from the flock and replaced by another, it may require three weeks before it can be assured that all eggs will produce chicks sired by the new rooster. The proportion of chicks sired by the new rooster increases during this period but some chicks sired by the old rooster may hatch. Birds like turkeys and waterfowl have longer periods during which fertile eggs can be produced without matings.
Incubation/hatching period for chickens: 21 days
Temperature for hatching chickens: 99.5 - 100 degrees fahrenheit
Humidity for the first 18 days: 50%
Humidity for the last 3 days: 65%
When receiving eggs in the mail, a very, very important step to perform after unwrapping the eggs is to let them rest upright (larger end up) in an egg carton at room temperature before putting them in to the incubator (8-12 hours is good). This gives the embryos and air cells a chance to get into their proper positions after their trip. It also makes sure that the inner temperature of each egg is the same prior to incubation.
