CONAR MODEL 500 RECEIVER, SHORT WAVE RADIO, 1960'S NR
The conar model 500 receiver was a simple three-band superhet receiver:
* Coverage: 80, 40, and 15 meters
* Tube Line-Up: 6BE6, 6BZ6, and two 6U8As
* Stages: Mixer/LO, 1st IF amplifier, 2nd IF Amp/BFO Mixer, BFO, audio pre-amplifier, audio power amplifier
* Antenna Input: Low Impedance (50 to 75 ohms)
* Audio Output: Built-in speaker with headphone jack
* Power Requirements: 115V, 60Hz, 18 watts
I PLUGGED THIS IN AND IT WORKS JUST FINE!! THE PAINT ON THE TOP OF THE UNIT IS PITTED. ALSO ON THE RIGHT SIDE AT THE BOTTOM THE PAINT HAS PEELED AT THE LOWER CORNER AND ON THE BOTTOM. THE FACE IS LIKE NEW BECAUSE THE BLUE PROTECTIVE FILM HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
