This machine is a little more than a double ended tool grinder. It was made by Howa Sangyo, part of the Okuma, Okomoto family. These are high end high quality machines. On the main spindle the tool can be tilted front to back and side to side by the whitle levers in picture two. The black handled lever is a rack and pinion that moves the tool across the face of the grinder. There is a hand wheel that controls the elevation. On the secondary spindle there is a keyed tilting table. This table can be tilted side to side as well as front to back as well. The white knobbed handle is the front to back tilt and side to side is achieved by loosening two bolts under the table and adjusting two knurled knobs. The knobs can be backed off to rock the table (it's spring loaded) . This table can be elevated by loosening two levers on the side and tapping the table up or down. There is a hand wheel for the Z, in and out travel. There is a coolant pump and the flow is directed to the spindle in use by a lever on the top of the machine. The motor has a forward reverse switch and runs perfectly. This machine is wired for 208/230 volts three phase. The machine is in very good condition overall, the protective bellows on the slides are hard and brittle and should be replaced.
