Smith & Wesson 1st Response Rescue Knife The First Response is an innovative Blackie Collins designed emergency rescue knife. All functions are designed to be performed one handed, with gloved hands. The blade has a scalloped edge to aggressively cut seat belts, lines, wires, and even light gauge sheet metal. It has prominent thumb studs on both sides and a liner lock. The tip is a screwdriver blade. The blunt point allows you to work the blade under seat belts or harnesses without risking the patient. The pommel has a spring loaded, hardened tip, window punch. Instead of hammering on the glass with your fist, as on most rescue knives, you hold the pommel against the glass and release the punch, shattering the glass. The knife can carried on the belt with its nylon pouch-sheath orclipped to your pocket with it's integral pocket clip. The sheath can be attached with either its spring loaded plastic belt clip, or its belt loop, depending on your preferred mode of carry. The First Response carries the Smith & Wesson name proudly.
