Rexroth hydraulic hydrostatic transmission pump - nos

Rexroth hydraulic hydrostatic transmission pump - nos
This is a very high quality feature packed pump which is intended for a complete reversing hydrostatic transmission for almost any type of mobile equipment, construction equipment, tractors or farm equipment, forklift or other loader type machines, or any other type of custom equipment you might be building. These pumps are also commonly used to power fully reversing concrete mixer drums or similar type machines.
I am also including a nice brand new KTR Bowex coupling which will connect directly to an engine flywheel. The KTR coupling is shown in some of the photos.
This pump is currently set up to be controlled electrically with a joystick or other 12 volt proportional control signal. If this is not the type of control you want it can be replaced with a different type of control module.
This pump was manufactured in 1999 but was never used and has always been boxed up and stored in a heated and dry building.
The model number of this pump is AA4VG125ED1DM1/32R-NSF52F001. I will give somewhat of a summary description here but for all the info you could ever want including a complete description, features, specifications, dimensions, etc. I would recommend that you visit the manufactures website 52 page PDF document by clicking the following link.
http:// /country_units/america/united_states/en/products/brm/products_catalogs/pumps/a_downloads/ra92003_02-04.pdf
From the model number of the pump and the information on pages two and three of the PDF document you can identify all the specifications and features of this pump. That model number is long and the information can be confusing but following is a brief summary of what most of it means.
AA4V - Identifies this as a variable swash plate pump with a peak pressure rating of 6500psi for a closed circuit hydrostatic transmission.
125 - Is the maximum displacement - so it is 125 cc/rev. or 7.63 cubic inches per revolution.
ED1DM4 - Is the control valve module. I don’t know much about this particular control but I believe it has 12 volt proportional solenoids which would be operated by an electrical signal from a joystick or other input control device. This controls both direction and swash plate stroke. The DM4 means that it has standard pressure cutoff, has externally adjustable mechanical stroke limiter, and it includes a built on hydraulic inch valve. With the inch valve you can decrease the swash plate stroke (which relates to pump output flow and vehicle speed) while leaving your engine revved up. So this allows you to reduce your travel speed for instance while you are powering your auxiliary hydraulics at higher speed. This would be very similar to “live PTO” on a tractor. If you don’t need the inching control just block the port “Z” on the pump and forget about it. If you want to use it you can simply hook port “Z” to a brake line or some other hydraulic signal like that.
32R - Indicates that it is a series 32 with a clockwise input shaft rotation when viewing the shaft end.
NSF - Indicates the seal type, that it is a single transmission pump, and that the mount flange is an SAE J744 2 bolt plus it has the additional 4 bolt mount slots. The input shaft is a 1-1/4” diameter SAE14 tooth 12/24 and the flange mount pilot is 5” OD with a 7.125” center to center distance on the two mount slot holes.
52 - Indicates that the output ports which are SAE o-ring flange connections are located one on top and one on the bottom. The output ports are ¾” OD.
F001 - Means that it has an integral internal auxiliary pump (charge pump).
Make sure to take a look at pages 30 through 32 of the PDF document for all of the detailed pump dimensions but for your quick reference the overall length of this pump is just under 13 inches and it is roughly 11 inches wide and 13.5 inches tall and it weighs 180 pounds.
This is a complete ready to run pump. All you need to do is connect it to an engine, connect the output ports to your hydraulic drive motor, add a tank and oil cooler, connect your electrical or hydraulic controller and your ready to go.
