Taber 503 Abrasion Tester (for testing single specimens) are used to determine the accelerated wear resistance of flat specimens, rigid or flexible, metals or textiles. Materials to be tested are subject to wear action of 2 abrasive wheels at a known pressure in grams. Results are evaluated by four different methods: 1) visual endpoint or general breakdown of material, 2) comparison of weight loss between materials of the same specific gravity, 3) volume loss in materials of different, specific gravity, and 4) depth of wear. This is a great machine that has always worked perfectly. I've sold my business and no longer need the equipment. Free delivery in Chicago area - email for details.
