1887 lunkenheimer crown NO1 hit & miss swing arm oiler

1887 lunkenheimer crown NO1 hit & miss swing arm oiler
This is the first of 2, almost Identical, Lunkenheimer Crown #1 Hit & Miss gas engine oilers I am listing this evening. The only difference from one to the other is this first one has cleaner glass and the writing is easier to read.
This is small. the entire heigth, with the swing arm down is just under 3 3/4" . The glass across is 1 1/2". The Threaded part is just under 5/8" across . It is dated on the top 1887. It is marked "Lunkenheimer Co. Crown No.1" Everthing about this is in very good condition - There is still some oiler residue in the glass - but mostly it is very clean and polished. I do not see any damage, or any reason why it shouldn't work. I do know anything about hit & miss engines, just that they seem to need an oiler! I do not know what size engine this fits on.
This was just found this weekend at a local Estate Sale.
