500 feet of mil-spec electronics wire, coated with silver, with a bright, slick "teflon"/DuPont outer jacket. New-old-stock military surplus. Specified and purchased by the US Department of Defense for the Navy. Great for point to point work, repairs. This silver plated wire is size 22, different from regular copper wire. It carriers a bit more power for its size. It picks up signals better than anything. It can be crimped or soldered to other metal easily. The wire is soft and easy to bend around corners and into shapes. And "teflon"/DuPont is flameproof and you can use it in places that get pretty warm, like Class A amps, SE tube amps, fat old Kenwoods, running wires through heating ducts. This is the best stuff for work in the shop - making cables that would cost BIG bucks if you bought them retail - detail work on the car - fixing low-voltage connections around the house - even picture hanging (its strong). Rated to handle 600 volts, from -55 degrees F to 392 degrees F. When you strip off the outer jacket you have 7 strands of bright-white silver coated copper - the silver is stuck fast on the copper, will not come off unless you scrape it off. 500 feet on the spool.
