This is a Chipmore Brush Chipper. Its a drum type. With a 12" feed gate. Its a older model. I think late 70s. Ive been in the tree service for 30 years. Ive had this chipper for 5 years. It runs on a ford 6 cylinder Industrial motor. The motor runs good and the chipper chips great. I have 4 set of extra blades. This chipper has always been well maintained. Oil change. Always greased fittings.Belts alway ajusted or replaced. Now here's the problem. Running it in november of last year. The head casket went. I guess. Thats what two mecanics said it was. Why because there's water in the oil. And I notice that when we change the oil. We dropped the oil in november. And water was in it . So I guess that the heads or head gasket. So now I parked it at my home and didnt use it again. Well now what a friend told me to do is. Since there is water getting in the oil, just refill the engine with fresh oil. Dont put any water in the radiator. and try to start it back up. Well it started. He said just run it for a minute, so it would,t heat up. So what I have for sale is a chipper that needs work. Some say fix the problem. Others say you can pick up another ford 6 cylinder. Either or. This chipper would make a great addition to a starting tree service or anyone need one. A replacement motor (used) or fixing it can be 600.00 0r even less. Or if someone is good with engines 3-400.00 dollar to fix. Like I said before this happened this chipper chipped outstanding and it was taken good care of. There's no Reserve.. I saw a chipper just like this sell for 3,700 last year. But you figure out the math . I wanted too add. This chipper has a Low Reserve on it. I put a Better Than Fair Reserve. THANKYOU I do have the original manual. Its has a parts list too.
