LONGHORN SEMEN FOR SALEÂ Â OF A GRULLA SIRE.
Spock is a roan bull with black points, black ears, black socks on his feet,  and black spotting throughout his coat. He has what is called a mealy mouth (brown nose ring) which is why he is not a true blue roan but a light form of grulla according to the Longhorn Color Geneticist.Â
(A true blue roan bull has a solid black nose ring not a brown or tan one.) Another interesting point with Spock's coloring is that he has an eggshell sheen to his coat. Kinda like a pearl coloring. This eggshell sheen seems to be a dilute factor, and when mated with a cow that also carries a dilute factor herself, makes for a lighter colored calf that is different from the normal reds.Â
When mated with cows that do not also have this dilute factor in their genes, then he seems to darken the red colors up because at least two of his calves have started out red and white, and the one heifer has turned into a rich dark parker brown with white markings, and a bull calf has turned almost black with a brown (mealy nose) and white markings.
This coloring of Spock's is proving to produce some very interesting color patterns, as he has a Grulla roan dam, and a Mulberry Purple Roan sire. And is producing a majority of Non-Roans, unless he is mated back with another roan. He also has one solid black with white underbelly - heifer in his 1st calf crop for Running Arrow Farm.
Spock has produced several offspring which are showing a nice body as well as their nice color patterns. When Spock has been mated to cows that have a background of full bodies in their pedigree, he is showing to continue that full body style in his offspring.
Let Spock bring the longhorn calving ease for your 1st time heifers and you will also have the excellent hybrid vigor of healthy quality calves.
Spock is an ideal outcross having approx. 55"or 56" hip height and weighing approx. 1350 - 1375 lbs. at 34 months of age.
He is a mild mannered stay at home bull that is serious about getting his job done.Â

10-SEMEN STRAWSÂ on a Registered Texas Longhorn Bull
This is enough to service 5 females 2x each.
Individual success rates will dictate how many pregnancies you will actually end up with.
A higher sucess rate would result in more pregnancies.
Under proper storage conditions, "collected semen" has been kept viable since the 1970's.
NOTE:Â A straw is one straw. An ampule is one ampule. A goblet holds 5 straws. A cane holds two goblets. A cane is ten straws.
A straw is a containment unit for semen which is a plastic straw about the size of a coffee straw.
To use a straw of semen is simple.
An ampule is made of glass. To use an ampule you must break the top off of the glass and suck the semen into the tube for insemination. Ampules were replaced by straws almost completely in the early 1970's.
These straws of "RAF ROUNDUP'S BLUE SPOCK" were collected in January 2005.
More or less semen can be offered, just let us know the amount you would prefer.
Spock's Sire "ROUNDUP'S PURPLE SAGE" is an own "son of: the very famous "ROUNDUP" bull of Ken Kirkham of "Kirkham's Cattle Company" in Missouri. Purple Sage is really purple (Mulberry colored).
Both Roundup and Roundup's Purple Sage bulls have had offspring which go to the annual "LONGHORN SHOWCASE" in Fort Worth every early November.
Spock himself has gone to this "LONGHORN SHOWCASE" and took RESERVE in his class for TOTAL HORN, November 2005 at 23 months of age.  (57 3/4" total Horn)
Spock's Dam is "OZARK'S MIST" who is a full bodied grulla roan with black markings and a brown (mealy nose) mature cow who is an own daughter of: the very famous "OZARK MOUNTAIN QUEEN" who was among the first longhorn cows to have the distinction of having 71" of tip to tip horn. Ken Kirkham used 'Ozark Mountain Queen' as a foundation cow in his embryo program.
Spock has a "quality known pedigree" paternally and maternally stacked with full bodied and Horn genetics that he is able to pass on to his offspring.Â
