Black metal bezel is 1.562" x 3.860" LCD Display window is .987" x 2.993" Entire assembly (Display, PCB, ICs) is .415" thick. This LCD does not require a negative voltage on the contrast pin like some others do! The Backlight is type EL, not LED Electroluminescent (EL) backlights give a more uniform brightness level across the entire display window, which is why many prefer them over LED backlights. To power the Electroluminescent backlight from +5VDC, you will need an EL Lamp Driver or Inverting power supply.
