This radio was purchased new by me and used as a "brief case" and "pocket" ham radio during some travel. It has a very good receive and very wide range of frequencies. The bands include Broadcast Band, FM, Air, VHF Ham, VHF & VHF TV, UHF Ham, General UHF & UHF TV. The radio works well and is fully functional as it was from the factory. The case is in near-new condition, without scratches, marks or damage. It's a great second radio for travel when you don't want to take your primary unit. It's also a very good size for a glove box radio, a lady's purse or a child's backpack. Receive frequencies (in MHZ) include: 0.5-1.7, 76-999 in 9 bands. It is cellular blocked. Transmit frequencies (in MHZ) include: 144-148, 430-450 RF output is 1 Watt (high) and 500 mWatts (low). Transmission is primarily intended as Simplex or through nearby repeaters.
