Pt500 Platinum PTC Temperature Resistance Sensor with Silicone cable These are brand new, PROFESSIONAL temperature sensors with high durability SILICONE Cable !!! PTC - Positive Temperature Coefficient - when the temperature goes up, the resistance goes up too. IMPORTANT: These are NOT the low-cost chinese temperature sensors you can see in other stores. This is a high durability, and very high quality precision device. MADE IN GERMANY ! Here is the infomation attached to the cable of each sensor. Temperature range: 0...180 degrees Celsius I tried to measure the resistance of a couple of these sensors, here is my measurement results. Pt500 at -18 degrees C: 475 ohm Pt500 at +20 degrees C: 540 ohm Pt500 at +35 degrees C (about body temperature): 567 ohm Please consider them as a guide only, might be a little bit different than what actually the sensor gives because the equipment used for the above tests was nowhere near the lab conditions usually needed. Here are a few lines of information from the site of the manifacturer: The KS/E cable probe measures the temperature in the range of -50...+180 C in gasiform or liquid medium and is available with all current sensors.
