Typical fuse questions answered................................................. You should never put a higher amperage fuse in place of another ( do not replace a 2A fuse with a 3A fuse). It is not recommended to replace a fuse with a lower voltage rating ( do not replace a 250V fuse with a 32V fuse) although it is acceptable to replace a low voltage fuse with a higher voltage fuse ( you can replace a 125V with a 250V). You can replace a time delay or 'slo-blow' with a normal or fast blow fuse without danger of circuit damage (although fuse may prematurely fail again), THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS IS FUSE RATED LOWER THAN 1A. It is not recommended to replace a normal or fast blow fuse with a 'slo-blow' or time delay fuse, in some applications this may causel circuit damage. .................................
