AIRCO SERVOGRAPH HL-8 ELECTRIC EYE TRACING TORCH AIRCO SERVOGRAPH WESTINGHOUSE HL-8 LINATROL ELECTRIC EYE TRACING TORCH, MDL. 4805 This is an older electric eye pattern torch that are actually still used today by a lot of smaller shops that don't want to spend the money for a full blown CNC Plasma torch set up. These are the cantilever type machine torches that will trace a full scale black ink drawing with the tracing head on one side of the cantilever arm while flame cutting the part on the burn table with the other side of the arm. These are pretty simple and straight forward to use and a low cost, easy way to accurately flame cut steel parts, usually out of 1/4 inch plate or thicker material up to 2 to 4 inches thick depending on what size oxy acetylene torch your running. This is a smaller size or garage size machine with a cutting area capacity of 4 foot wide by 6 foot long steel sheets. This machine uses the Westinghouse HL-8 Linatrol drive system which always has been a bullet proof drive system, commonly used on the Airco, Koike Aronson, MG, and Heath burning machines. The main thing you have to do with these is keep new bulbs in the tracing head which are cheap 12 volt auto dome light type bulbs so the ink drawing is easily picked up by the tracing eye, other than that you really don't have to do much to these machines. I have the machine partially disassembled, which means the cantilever arm is off the rails, legs unbolted from the floor and the electric eye and controls are unbolted from the drive saddle. So your only talking a few hours to set this back up and you would normally disassemble this to transport it anyway. I also have the drawing table for this too, I do not have the oxy acetylene torch for it but it uses a standard Victor machine torch and I do not have a burn table for it either, you can either make one yourself or actually just support your material on some saw horses and get by using it that way. Machine is 115 volt single phase current so you can easily at our place in Ft Worth, TX 76053 and we can load it all for you at no charge. I don't have it set up to get you any pictures of it right now but I promise you it's worth the money and when you get here and see it for yourself and you don't agree you don't have to take it. Also check out my other listings cuz I might have some other stuff you you can't live without while your here, and I do have tons of other stuff not listed too. site advertisement without the expressed written permission of Boulevard (Airco servograph hl-8 electric eye tracing torch was posted and is owned by: Rodney Houston) |
