The Outbacker is contructed of fiberglass with pre-tuned copper helical windings and covered with smooth epoxy-resin and a coating of polyurethane for stength, and durability. The mounting ferrule is nickle-plated brass with industry standard 3/8x24 threads. Frequency coverage is broadband but the top of the antenna is adjustable which allows tuning for the lowest possible VSWR even on 75 meters and 10 meters. Tap points are clearly engraved for each band. Changing bands is accomplished maunually by plugging the exclusive Outbacker "Wander Lead" into the proper tap. (To operate 75 meters, the lead is left out. The Outbacker antennas have a beautiful, shiny black finish in all 8 models. There are optional springs, mounts and cables available.
