This is an old original parts catalog and maintenance manual for the Mercury Banty gas tractor models A-440-15 and A-440-16. Manufactured by the Mercury Manufacturing Company south Halsted Street, Chicago 9 Illinois. This book is a fith edition printed July 1947. The engine used was a Waukesha model FC-90. This book gives a complete illustrated parts breakdown of the complete tractor. The inside of the front cover has the foreword, the Mercury guaranty, the owners responsibility and instructions for ordering Mercury parts. The book is 33 pages long. As you can see, the book is not in the greatest shape, but appears to be complete. All the pages are legible, but the covers are missing some pieces. The rear outside cover lists other Mercury products with descriptions and pictures. There cannot be many of these books left in existence, so if you are a collector of old manuals and liturature this would be a unique addition.
