Antenna not included but you can pick one up at Radio Shack or make your own outa wire. Owners manual not included but they are on the internet. Just search for it in google. I plugged it in and it powers up. Volume and squelch works. Since I don't have any of my local frequencies programmed in it I couldn't hear anything but static or maybe nobody was chatting. All the channel buttons light up when switched individually. The second pic shows scanner with lid open showing the programming pad. Good luck.
