(2) 24 - 27.5 Volt DC Electric Robotic Motors We don't know the motor HP or RPM, but when 28 volts is applied, the whole motor attempts to whip in the opposite direction. I couldn't find my gloves so we didn't try to stall it with our hands. The motor is ideal as a traction (propulsion) motor for a Robot that always travels forward or turns by alternating which wheel motor is energized. It can also be used for a robotic weapon such as driving a saw blade or a reciprocating device. A rheostat (Variable Resistor) in series with the motor allows you to directly control the speed. Increasing or decreasing the voltage also allows you to control the speed (RPM) of the shaft. The frame is round and has two mounting bolts on the front (see the third picture on the left). It could also be installed using a metal band around the motor. Overall dimensions: 6-1/8" LOA (including the shaft) x 3-3/8" Dia. The flatted shaft is 1-3/8" Long x 5/16" Diameter (5/16" of the end of the shaft is threaded). The electrical connections can be made via the single conductor connector shown and the frame of the motor. Alternately, you may cut off the connector and connect directly to the wire. Don't let the threaded portion of the shaft frighten you! The bottom sketch on the left depicts how an adapter (with a set screw or roll pin) can be fabricated, that slides over the shaft thus allowing you to drive wheels or what ever you have with the straight shaft portion of the adapter.
