Adjusts belts with a spread between pulleys of 5" to 13" and will open 2 1/2" beyond that space. After examining this item I learned that the extension pieces can be replaced by a length of 5/8"OD rigid copper (and coupling) to whatever length you need. (for those of you who are not in the refrig ind. , 5/8 OD copper is 1/2" nominal or the common 1/2" size sold in hardware stores.) Comes in real handy in some situations. I had two accounts with really difficult belt adjustments. If you need it, you will love it. The pulleys and belt are not included. There for demo only.
