A very unusual and unique adaptation of a knife switch. It mounts to the side of a box and the lever slides up and down to make contact rather than flipping end to end. The base of this switch measures 2 in. long x 1 in. wide and 3/8 in.thick. This would be a period correct piece for a Hit Miss battery box project. The base is a fiber composition type material. The manufacturers name is no longer legible in the fiber base. Offered as originally found. Very nice condition functionally and cosmetically. A single pole - single throw switch.
