This is a used, but excellent condition Zenith Trans-Oceanic 12 band receiver. All functions appear to work fine, EXCEPT dial light and map light, neither of which is functional. This radio is the 1979 model, which was followed by two other models in 1980 and 1981. I have only tested on AC power. Receiver works on all bands. Controls are a little scratchy. This could be corrected with contact cleaner, but I did not want to risk opening chassis. Time Dial and World Time Zone Map strip chart both work fine. The compass rose is also fully functional. Of course, these are mainly decorative. Antenna is straight and perfect. Original battery tubes and AC cord included. BFO works, but is not comparable to modern receivers. Case is clean, with small scratches and minor blemishes. There are some more serious, linear scratches next to the compass rose. The six page, pull out instruction sheets are present, but the binding they were in is missing. You can see them in pix. Most of the binding holes are OK. Sorry, I do not have the manual for this receiver. MY DESCRIPTION OF THIS RADIO IS INCORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS REALLY A MODEL 7000Y MFD IN 1969 AND 1970.
