Telegraph Register - Paper tape recored metal base plate = 5" by 10 1/4" This register weighs slightly less than my car. It has no markings that I can find. It seems modern era to me. There is a rod with 2 screws taped to the top which would be used on the paper dispenser or retrieving roll. It has a coating of shelac or some other material that gives it a "gold" look. I wish it was gold. I have not opened it up to see what teh guts say (if anything). Parts that seem like they ought to move do move. I am offering my accumulation of telegraph equipment this week. I specialize in railroad and will not be offering a money back refund on the telegraph stuff. I am doing it this way because I wouldn't recognize what I sent out from a box of rocks. I have tried to pickup only interesting pieces but they may or may not be in working condition or they may be missing parts. I have other interesting telegraph equipment listed this week.
