Our water-based epoxy floor coating system is one of the most popular floor coatings on the market today. It is most often used as garage floor paint but it also works great on basements, laundry rooms, work shops, or wooden car trailers. This non-flammable, fully customizable, environmentally friendly floor coating system is easy to install. Just follow the simple 4-step process to create a custom floor finish that resists oil, dirt, water, grease and other contaminants. This Decorative Floor Coating Kit consists of two coats of a thin-mil waterborne epoxy and a clear topcoating, waterborne means it is completely safe for the environment (no harmful VOCs!) and can be used in basements, interior, or garages. You have the option of using the WBC-510 Waterbased Epoxy Clearcoat (standard) (perfect for basements or interiors where harmful odor cannot be present) Or you can upgrade to the HPU 747 Solventborne Urethane Clearcoat (perfect for garages or areas of good ventilation). Learn more about the importance of etching here. - This acid wash solution dissolves dirt and oil as well as profiles (roughens) the floor in one easy step! (etching/roughening the concrete is essential for proper epoxy adhesion). Take 1 gallon of etching solution and dilute with 1 gallon of hot water to make 500 sq/ft of acidwash.
