Transmitting Magnetic Balun operating between 0.1 MHz to 50 MHz with just a few metres of wire. Most built in tuners have a limited range of impedance matching usually between 10-200 ohms. The solution is to use a broadband transformer which transforms the impedance value down 10 times bring the impedance to a value of close to 50 ohms which the tuner can match. Because of the low SWR the losses are kept to a minimum. The Magnetic Balun cannot be used with an antenna. Rule of thumb the longer the wire the better it will work. Ideally the wire length should be 1/4 wave of lowest frequency in operation.
