Modified 50MW drive 900MHZ 150W rf linear amplifier

Modified 50MW drive 900MHZ 150W rf linear amplifier
900MHz 150W PEP LINEAR AMPLIFIER.
USES ONE MRF 899 POWER TRANSISTOR FINAL DRIVEN BY SEVERAL STAGES.
THE POWER SUPPLY NEEDED IS 24-26 VDC @ AT LEAST 12A
RF REQUIRED IS 50-100 mW FOR 100W+ CONTINUOUS POWER OUTPUT.
Typical for these amplifiers, the power output holds steady to about 910 MHz, than starts dropping with frequency, dropping to about 50W @ 940 MHz, probably due to the circulator. (The circulator can be "tuned with a small magnet").
This amplifier has been modified and tested with 50 mW drive. RF output measures over 100W @ 902 MHz on a Bird Wattmeter. The new connector plate has a SMA connector for input Power, N connector for output Power, dual binding post for DC, and a spare connector for adding bias switching if required.
NPN Silicon RF Power Transistor
Designed for 26 Volt UHF large signal, common emitter, Class AB linear amplifier applications in industrial and commercial FM/AM equipment operating in the range 800-960 MHz. · Specified 26 Volt, 900 MHz Characteristics Output Power = 150 Watts (PEP) Minimum Gain = 8.0 dB @ 900 MHz, Class AB Minimum Efficiency = 35% @ 900 MHz, 150 Watts (PEP) Maximum Intermodulation Distortion 28 dBc @ 150 Watts (PEP)
VERY RUGGED, TOP NOTCH QUALITY CONSTRUCTION, WITH HEAVY DUTY HEAT SINK. WILL MAKE A VERY NICE LOW DRIVE 900MHz AMATEUR BAND AMPLIFIER.
