This Heathkit DX-100 is well constructed. There is a bit of discoloration on the copper chasis. The tubes may be a little weak. I measured the fololowing: I monitored the output on my ICOM 737a and heard no hum on the signal. There was an increase in plate current as I went up the bands which indicates along with the lower output that the tubes are a bit soft. This should do about 125 watts with new tubes. The rack bolts to hold it into the case were missing when I got it. The transmitter is VFO controlled but also has one crystal for 75 meters 3885kc This is a complete and working vintage transmitter and is a favorite among the AM vintage collectors. This will put you on the air in fine fashon. (Heathkit DX100 vintage ham radio transmitter dx-100 was posted and is owned by: Cathleen Francis) |
